| Hey, guys!
I haven't been on for a long, long, long, long, time. My account got retained o_O'
Been working (for those who aren't up to date with my life, I got a job). My job is boring yet frustrating. I'm so sleepy right now. The bus ride is annoying. I hate it. I was hired by this Vancouver Community Network thing. Basically I'm an intern and I'm helping at this neighbourhood house place, in their computer lab. I don't really do anything there (right now). But then they gave me work to do. I'm half happy with the stuff I do here. I like doing brochures and posters. But I don't wanna do a program booklet =(.. it's too much work and too much information needed to be compiled. But other than that I'm fine. The computers here suck. Windows 98 and I have this stupid Norton GoBack thing that whenever its driver is full, it will reset everything which caused me to lose all my files. I hate the stupid thing! Moreover, the admin who put on the stupid GoBack doesn't even remember the password. So we can't stop it unless we format the computer. So ya, that's work.
But then I like the part where we have the meetings with other interns. They're a group of weird people but fun. Really nice and geeky too..~
I can feel my summer going away slowly.. I miss it when I'm not doing anything and staying at home. But at least I'm getting paid $10/h for this ^^
Hope your summer is as enjoyable. Will post about my courses later after I get my mail from school. *sigh* I miss school. | | |
| YAY~!
Did the Math final yesterday and it was quite easy. I'm kinda happy
that Robinson gave us harder tests/quizzes than the final questions. It
was awkward to do the test in the gym.. there were a lot of people.
Never thought that the gr 9 population could be that many.
After we did the final, I went upstairs to the art room to hang out for
a little while. Was about to see Mr. Ross for my pyramid and the
doodles we drew yesterday. Can't believe he erased it! But didn't
went to his room anyways. We went to the Photo room to get our CD
covers. Then we started to hang out there looking at Mr. Herdman's
handmade cabin photos (seriously. He built it himself). It was
interesting.. I still find the Mr and Mrs Herdman odd. It's just..
weird.. seeing Ms. Burrus and Mr. Herdman.. wa.. *shudders*
Then we got bored, so we went to the turf. Hung out with Daisy, Kathy,
Sheren, Sally, Renee, Nic, etc. All the guys were playing soccer. We
were playing with Sally's dog. She's so cute. So sad.. Sally, don't
leave! NO!! TT_TT.. We have to hung out even more until November!
Kathy, Sheren, Renee and I went to metrotown together. Took the bus and
skytrain. The C27 was taking forever.. T____T. Renee's funny.. it was
her first time taking the skytrain; she was so excited. But when we
reached metro, Renee's mom called and told her to come home... So she
had to come back herself... and got lost. Kathy, Sheren and I
took pictures together:

Kathy looks like she's eating the frog. We were in a hurry cuz the time was ticking. Psh.. stupid timer.
Then we meet Renee again. She managed to got back to Metrotown. Good thing we gave her our number and we were still in the mall.
During walking around, we went to American Eagle store. They have this
really nice skirt and polo shirts and tank tops.. I want those!
GRRRRRRRRRR..
Applied for McDonald's I think.. 2 weeks ago. Haven't got the call back yet! I want to get a job!
In overall, this year was good. It was full of new experiences and
meeting new friends and new challenges. I love this year. I bet next
year will be even better!

| We had our concert yesterday. Gotta say, even though we made lots of
mistakes.. but who noticed other than us? So it was successful..
Well, I was kinda hoping for SOME people to come and watch us but...
ya.. .oh well. I didn't come to someone's concert too.. I guess we're..
uh not even >_>
I played the trumpet.. suckyly (ha! new word!) during the concert.
Played it better during the rehearsal.. but.. again, who noticed?
Funny how Esther, Connor and I blew our spit. On a SINGLE paper towel
under the stand, all 3 of us blew our spit on it. The paper towel was
wet with saliva; it was disgusting. And.. kinda funny to see us once in a while crouched down and blow
spit during the performance. But hey, we gotta do what we gotta do
right..? And blowing spit is a part of brass players!
I GOT AN AWARD (and a red carnation)!!! for improvement. Jacki and Ye
Da got it too. Wonder why Brian Ahn didn't get one. hahaa.. Congrats to
Kevin B for getting the uh. whatever the name of the award is.. but you
were nominated by 3/4 of the class!
We had crazy awards. Such as "The Most Calm During Chaos" award, "The Most Disfunctional Section", and other crazy awards..
It was a good concert....

| I spent the long weekend in Timberline Ranch, Maple Ridge for a church
retreat/camp. It was fun! Our guest speaker was Pastor Chris Jordan. He
came with his intern/intercessor, named Geoff (i think that's how you
spell his name). After the first session, it was quite interesting. He
told us about how we need to hunger for God. So I was kind of intrigued
by it and I want to know more.
After we had that session, we played this little game with our groups.
After the game, we just played pass with the frisbee. When we were
passing it around, my brother's $16 dollars frisbee went under the main
lodge and we really can't get it out. I started to ask Geoff about his
background and how he got saved, etc.
Then he started to tell me his awesome stories! It was so cool! I'm going to share a little bit on what he experienced.
He came from a Catholic background, but he doens't really know much
about being a Catholic, though he thinks he knows the Bible. By grade
5, he was suicidal, emo, and he was into witchcraft and those types of
things. When he was into witchcraft, he could hear voices in his head
that taught him how to do stuff. He got to the point where he can
elevate off the ground.
Then he was invited to his family reunion. Most of his family were
Christian. And during the whole week, he couldn't hear the voices at
all. On the last day of the reunion, his family was having this service
and then they were just telling their testimonies about God and being
born-again. Geoff was like "what's born again? I'm sure that word is
not on the Bible" and then he asked the same question to his Great
Uncle for 4 hours! But after that, when his uncle had told him about
Jesus and being born-again, his uncle asked "Would you like to accept
Jesus?" Then he just said "YES!". So after he accepted Jesus, he felt
like somebody just flush all the ugliness inside him; and he felt this
hot liquid-y love washing over him. When he opened his eyes, his vision
was like whitish everywhere (he described it as like a movie scene
where everything was washed out but you can still see).
So then after quite some time he became a born-again Christian, he
prayed and prayed for roughly about an hour every day in tongues, in
his closet. On the 7th day when he prayed, he can feel wind inside his
closet. When he opened his eyes, his closet was so bright and there
were no shadows at all inside his closet. Then he opened the closet and
looked into his room, and it was really bright and NO shadows at all!
In the middle of his room, there were 3 pillars of light! When he tried
to stand up, he just fell right down on the floor and all he could
say/shout/scream/yell was "Holy! Holy! Holy is the Lord" (just like in
Revelation. the description of the Throne Room). He claimed this to be
the greatest encounter with God he ever had.
Dude! that's awesome! So while I was listening, my thoughts were "WOW!
I want to experience that too! I want to meet God like that too!" By
the way, Geoff's only 22. Once he healed a guy who had this grey-ish
things in front of his eyes and he can't see. Geoff prayed over him in
the name of Jesus and when the blind-dude opened his eyes, the grey
thing was gone and he can see again! Geoff also prayed over a dead guy
once and he lived again. MAN! That's like in Acts!! Where the disciples
could pray over dead people and they live again; also when you can see
people healing right in front of your eyes! WOW!!!
Seriously, I want to be like that! I want to feel God! I want to
experience those things! It's ... Amazing! GOD IS JUST AMAZING!
Yesterday, when I was deep-frying. and I was waiting for it, I started
to sing some praise to God. Then I felt a song coming up from me. So I
started to sing a song I just made up right on the spot. That time, I
felt this hunger and thirst for God. Then I started to cry while I was
singing. I could really feel that I was desperate to know more about
Jesus and about God. I mean, seriously.. like desperate! Man.. I'm
really going to enjoy my prayer time!
So that's a bit of glimpse on how I feel right now
